Former Sampdoria coach Walter Novellino may have dismissed the rumours that he was about to join Bolton, but there could be more to it now.
Even though the Trotters sacked Gary Megson last week, Novellino let it slip that he was taking English lessons.
"I am studying English," Novellino revealed to Mediterraneonline.it. "A language other than their primary one is important for all.
"There have has contact, but we shall see. You could see me again on the bench soon, as I miss football.
"Thanks to coaches such as [Manchester City's] Roberto Mancini and [Chelsea's] Carlo Ancelotti, that are doing great things at the their clubs, they are exposing the qualities of Italian coaches."
