Napoli Played Well Enough To Win Against Milan - Lavezzi
The Argentine wizard claims his side deserved three points against the Rossoneri...
Napoli held AC Milan to a 0-0 draw on Sunday evening, nearly scoring on a number of occasions. The Azzurri have not won since January 11 and almost managed to pull a dramatic upset.
"We did enough to win, but unfortunately we have not succeeded in that and now there are regrets," striker Ezequiel Lavezzi told Mediaset immediately following the scoreless affair at the Stadio San Paolo.
The crowd held up signs in support of former coach Edy Reja, who was sacked in favour of Roberto Donadoni earlier this month.
"Yes, I saw the banners," continued the 23-year-old. "The coach did not leave because of his mistakes, but because of ours [the players]."
Lavezzi has found the back of the net seven times for the Partenopei this season and been linked with a move to several top clubs over the past year, including the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid.
