Napoli’s Mannini Satisfied With Return From Drug Ban
The Napoli midfielder was satisfied with his team’s performance against Milan earlier tonight.
Napoli and Milan played out a scoreless draw at the San
Paolo stadium, a result that leaves the Partenopei without a win in their past
11 league matches.
Despite the Rossoneri’s dominance of play and possession, the home side certainly had the better of the opportunities to break the deadlock, with a number of them falling to Daniele Mannini, who coincidentally was the best player on the park, in his first match back from a drug suspension.
“We managed to draw against a great team,” Mannini declared in an interview with Sky.
“We are happy with the result, as we feel that we caused Milan problems.
“Credit to them though, as they played well, and made things tough for us also,” he added.
The midfielder went on to discuss his performance, as well as thanking the fans for their assistance over the past few months.
“I would like to thank the fans who helped me get through the match tonight. They have been very close to me over this difficult period, so I am very thankful.
“For me, I am happy because after nearly two months of training I have done my bit, and feel very satisfied at this point.”
