According to a report in Corriere dello Sport, ambitious Serie A outfit Napoli are eager to lure Swiss international Gokhan Inler away from Udinese in the winter transfer window.

The Partenopei aren't too happy with the performances of midfielders Luca Cigarini and Michele Pazienza and head coach Walter Mazzari reportedly sees Inler as the perfect addition to his squad.

The 25-year-old Inler has developed into one of the most sought after players of the Serie A since joining Udinese from Zurich in the summer of 2007.

Udinese are believed to be reluctant to let go of the highly rated midfielder, but they could be tempted to cash in on Inler if a big money offer comes in for the Swiss international.

Napoli reportedly face stiff competition in the race for Inler's signature, as Milan, Inter and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the midfielder as well.
