Sampdoria Director Beppe Marotta: Roma's Stefano Guberti Does Not Interest Us
The director quashes any potential link with the midfielder...
Sampdoria sporting director Beppe Marotta insists that Roma midfielder Stefano Guberti is not on the Blucerchiati's wishlist over the winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been utilised sparingly by coach Claudio Ranieri this term, and is looking for more game time than he is currently getting at the Giallorossi.
"Guberti is not one of our objectives," Marotta revealed to Atalantanews.it as quoted by Novantesimo.it. "I think he is close to Atalanta, but definitely will not come to us."
Marotta also took the opportunity to clarify some of the other transfer rumours that were associated with his club, in particular, the arrival of Atalanta's Thomas Manfredini and Fernando Tissone's departure.
"We have absolutely no interest in Manfredini," he affirmed.
"He will remain where he is and we are happy with this outcome.
"Tissone will also not move from Genova," Marotta summed up.
