Even though Toni has not been officially presented as a new acquisition (this will happen on January 2), Ranieri cannot wait to be able to select him for upcoming fixtures.
"Toni is a player that we needed at Roma," the Tinkerman said to Corriere Dello Sport. "He is very strong in the penalty box.
"He is great at holding the ball up and letting his team-mates run past him, allowing a pronged attack to occur.
"Having a player such as him can also allow us to play some more [crosses].
"He is definitely a strong arrow in our bow," Ranieri concluded.
The Lupi sit in fourth place, on 28 points, two points behind Juventus, who are in third.
