Lazio Ace Mauro Zarate: Roma's Francesco Totti Is Finished

The Argentinian has hit back at 'Er Pupone'...

Lazio striker Mauro Zarate has continued his feud with Roma captain Francesco Totti, claiming the Italian "is finished".

The war of words between the two men shows no sign of ending as Zarate writes another chapter into the script. The Argentinian is in no mood to overlook their previous spat when Totti claimed the Aquile man was "not a champion".

"Totti talks too much, but he forgets that he is already finished. I think he hasn't scored in about 10 derbies," he told ESPN Argentina.

"He is always attacking me, but I tend not to respond to him. I just do what I have to and play to score goals."

And plenty of goals are needed from him to revive the Biancocelesti's season, which has been less than perfect thus far.

"It's a strange feeling being so far from the top places in the league. We are going through a tough period, but I am always motivated," he concluded.
