Standard Liege Striker Milan Jovanovic: I Did Not Sign A Contract With Milan

The Serbian forward has denied rumours that he has already signed a deal with the Rossoneri...

Milan Jovanovic, Standard Liege
Standard Liege attacker Milan Jovanovic has contradicted an earlier report that he has signed a contract with Italian powerhouse Milan, as was claimed by Standard's vice president Luciano D'Onofrio.

"I was very surprised when I read D'Onofrio's comments about me already having signed a contract at Milan," Jovanovic said on Belgian TV show Extra Time.

"It's true that I have spoken with Milan representatives about a possible transfer, but I haven't signed anything yet. I have been in touch with several clubs and will leave Standard for a good team, but no decision has been made so far."

The 28-year-old attacker's current contract at Standard Liege is due to expire at the end of the season and the Serbian international will leave Standard on a Bosman move next summer.

Aside from Milan, Jovanovic has also been linked with Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Everton and Stuttgart in the past couple of months.
