Macedonian striker Goran Pandev has married his long-standing girlfriend Nadica Adziskerleva in his native city Strumica.

The 26-year-old, who looks poised to join Inter on a free transfer, got married in a civil ceremony at the City Hall yesterday and the Corriere dello Sport alleges that his future boss Jose Mourinho has granted him a ‘leave of absence’ until January 3.

Pandev is expected to be formally announced as an Inter player in the new year after he managed to have his contract with Lazio cancelled by a Lega Calcio committee last week.

“I know that the lawyers of [Lazio president Claudio] Lotito are set to lodge an appeal, but I don’t care,” Pandev told the media pack gathered outside the City Hall.

“I am free and he won’t get anything out of my rescission. He was tormenting me of late. But now it’s finally over.”

Pandev should put pen to paper on a four-year deal with an option for a further season.
