Fiorentina Ace Stevan Jovetic Not Dreaming Of Real Madrid Move
The Montenegrin says he has only eyes for the Gigliati…
Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic has insisted he remains committed to the Serie A side despite press reports linking him with a switch to Spanish side Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old was reportedly on the Merengues’ radar in 2008 before he joined Fiorentina and speculation is rife that the La Liga powerhouse are ready to revive their interest in light of his impressive displays this season.
But Jovetic seems unfazed and told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Fiorentina are my only thought.”
Jovetic earned widespread plaudits across Europe after bagging a brace against Liverpool in the Champions League.
“That was some mad stuff,” he enthused. “When I got back home, I couldn’t sleep."
Jovetic also netted a crucial goal against Sporting Lisbon in the third preliminary round of the competition back in August and is now hoping to add to his tally when Fiorentina meet Bayern Munich in the last 16.
“That goal against Sporting Lisbon was the most important of my career,” he explained.
“Now I want to net again when we face Bayern and get to the quarter-finals.”
