Bordeaux Midfielder Fernando Menegazzo Eager To Join Genoa
The Brazilian is hoping to complete a move to the Grifoni during the January transfer window.
Bordeaux midfielder Fernando Menegazzo has reiterated that his mind is made up and he can't wait for a deal between the French side and Serie A outfit Genoa to be struck when the transfer window re-opens in the new year.
Menegazzo has already agreed personal terms with the Rossoblu and is now desperate for the two clubs to reach an agreement so that he can return to Italy where he plied his trade from 2003 to 2005, representing Siena and Catania.
“I like the Ligurian outfit very much and [Genoa president Enrico] Preziosi’s project is ambitious,” Menegazzo told itasportpress.
“I’d be happy if this transfer went through. Negotiations between Genoa and Bordeaux are ongoing and the directors are working to find a solution that would allow me to go back to Italy.
“But I can’t say more at the moment.”
Menegazzo is expected to move to the Marassi for a fee in the region of €4.5 million.
