Juventus forward Alessandro Del Piero has made Christmas declarations to his fans via alessandrodelpiero.com, during which he extends not only festive wishes but also his thoughts on the Bianconeri's season so far.
He wrote, "I must admit that from a sporting perspective I was hoping for a more relaxing holiday period, but I hope that these days of rest allow me to return to Juventus and to help us turn around our recent form.
"Yet at times like these it's important to go beyond what happens on the pitch, and to think about the people close to us.
"For me, this is Christmas, which I celebrated yesterday in San Vendemiano with my parents and my brother, and as I'll now spend with my family. (This year there are four of us!)
"I hope you have the best Christmas and that the season brings you health, peace, and happiness. I'm pleased to share these moments with you via our website and I hope it helps us all feel a little closer. From my heart, Merry Christmas."
