Milan Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati Will Not Join Fiorentina - Agent
The Rossoneri custodian will be staying put...
Reports around the peninsula have linked the Italian with both the Viola and Genoa. Abbiati has become second choice at Milanello following Nelson Dida's recent revival. Coach Leonardo has kept faith in the Brazilian, who is expected to be offered a new deal at the club, leading to belief that Abbiati wanted out.
However, Claudio Vigorelli has confirmed his man will be staying at the San Siro.
"Christian will remain in Milan. He is working really hard to get back to his best.
"The start of the new year will be very important. Fiorentina already have a very strong goalkeeper and so I don't think they will be asking for another one.
"I think it's a journalistic invention."
