Milan Eye Monaco Defender Cederic Mongongu As Kakhaber Kaladze's Replacement - Report
The Rossoneri have targeted the French defender as a possible replacement for Kaladze...
Reports around the peninsula claim the Georgian has become increasingly unsettled with his lack of playing time under Leonardo. Kaladze had been hoping for more regular football following Thiago Silva's injury, but that has not happened. Last week his agent Vincenzo Morabito stepped in to deny claims his man was leaving.
But, Tuttosport are reporting Adriano Galliani has mooted the idea of luring Mongongu to Milanello should the Georgian pack his bags before his deal expires in 2011.
Mongongu has raised eyebrows at Milanello with reports suggesting director Ariedo Braida has been making a series of scouting visits to Monaco to keep close eyes on him.
Another target is Davide Astori who Milan jointly own with Cagliari, but the Sardinians' president Massimo Cellino has already said he is opposed the move.
