Cruzeiro striker Wellington Paulista is being closely watched by Lazio, and will be targeted during the winter transfer window when it opens next month.
The 25-year-old has already played in Europe, for Spanish side Alaves.
Paulista is said to be the backup for Gremio striker Maxi Lopez, should the Argentine reject coming to the Roman Eagles during this period, according to Novantesimo.it.
Spartak Moscow are also interested in signing the Brazilian, but the Biancocelesti have seen the hitman play more times than their Russian counterparts.
Both Lopez and Paulista are seen as suitable replacements for 'rebel' forward, Goran Pandev.
