AC Milan Declare Gokhan Inler And Edin Dzeko Top Transfer Targets - Report
Leonardo is hoping for some winter transfer funds...
AC Milan coach Leonardo is awaiting confirmation on whether he will be able to delve into the transfer market this winter, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
The Brazilian is awaiting the results of ongoing contract negotiations with the squad members, specifically the youth team, in preparation for next season’s budget.
Despite assurances from the Milan hierarchy that there will be no winter spending, preliminary reports due this month may reveal space in the budget to bring in reinforcements as soon as January.
AC Milan have reputedly identified their two major targets for this summer in Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler and Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
While Milan will be hoping they can tie up a deal for the Swiss midfielder fairly swiftly, the capture of Dzeko may prove a more difficult task.
The Bosnian has attracted a number of suitors all over Europe with Chelsea and former Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti being the latest in a long line of top European clubs to register an interest in the Wolfsburg man.
