Gremio forward Maxi Lopez has not been in contact with Lazio over a possible move during the winter transfer window, according to the player's agent.
Dario Bombini has denied having any knowledge that his client is being targeted by the Biancocelesti.
"There has not been any contact with Lazio," the agent told Radio Gaucha. "Nothing official at least, only what was in the newspaper.
"Maxi Lopez was in Rome last week for a holiday, but only to meet with a friend.
"Together, they invented an excuse that Maxi was there to deal with a transfer to Lazio."
In fact, it is the South American side that want to obtain ownership of the player, as he is there on loan from FC Moscow.
"Gremio is doing everything possible to keep Maxi there," Bombini added.
