Vicenza striker Alessandro Sgrigna has been closely monitored by Atalanta, and the Bergamo-based outfit could make a swoop for him when the transfer window opens in January.

Sgrigna was being scouted as early as last season, but the Nerazzurri did not do much in order to attract the 29-year-old, according to TMW.

The forward has confirmed Atalanta's interest in him, which forced the Orobici to do the same, despite denying reports they were interested at one stage.

Since then, Sgirgna has scored seven goals in 16 games for the Biancorossi, and has been a focal point up front for the Serie B side.

Should Sgrigna sign, he could partner Robert Acquafresca or Simone Tiribocchi up front.
