Serie A side Genoa can breathe a sigh of relief, as the injury occurred to influential striker Raffaele Palladino will not require surgery and the 25-year-old should be back in action in around 40 days, according to ANSA.

The former Juventus man limped off with a knee injury during Thursday’s 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Valencia in the Europa League.

Palladino went in for scans yesterday and test results revealed he suffered a second-degree lesion to the collateral ligament in his left knee.
