Udinese President Giampaolo Pozzo Issues Sack Warning To Coach Pasquale Marino
The club chief has told the coach to fix up or face the chop...
Udinese general director Giampaolo Pozzo has issued a stark warning to coach Pasquale Marino: anything less than a win will see him receive the chop.
The Zebrette are just five points off the relegation zone. They have lost eight games this term, with their two most recent back-to-back defeats against Siena and Bologna seeing alarm bells ringing in Friuli.
Pozzo has stepped in and he wants Marino to deliver a quick solution to the slide or his contract at the club will be torn up.
"I want a win against Cagliari. We really need a win because the league is looking tough and we have to decide what to do," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"I have always defended Marino and we have built a team to follow our project. However, we have not always seen a return. If this doesn't change then we will have to take action.
"I have not thought about people who can replace him. I am hoping he can pull his finger out, though."
