Jesus Datolo Won't Return To Boca Juniors - Agent
Datolo's agent has totally dismissed rumours of a return to Buenos Aires...
Following recent rumours linking Jesus Datolo with a move back to Boca Juniors, the player’s agent has moved to rubbish any reports of a possible return to Buenos Aires for the Napoli man.
"If [Carlos] Bianchi said Datolo wants to return, he’s crazy," said Joseph Sampieri, the player’s representative, speaking to Rivadavia.
Datolo has enjoyed a recent return to prominence back in his homeland following a successful introduction to the Argentina national team under Diego Maradona. The winger has scored twice in his first three internationals; including a wonder-strike against Brazil.
Datolo, a member of the Boca Juniors side that won the Copa Libertadores in 2007, joined Napoli earlier this year and has suffered mixed fortunes in Serie A so far.
However, any talk of a return to Argentinian football has now been totally disregarded, with Sampieri seemingly taking offence at the suggestion.
"It's crazy to say this Datolo wants to return," he said, before adding, "Boca are a disaster."
Sampieri ended with news that Datolo is seeking a loan move away from Partenopei but that a club in Argentina is not an option and that a short term move to another European club is more likely.
"Yes, he could go on loan, but without a purchase option. There are several clubs that want him: Milan, Espanyol, Sevilla."
