Udinese director Sergio Gasparin has side/stepped the club's press embargo to reassure coach Pasquale Marino, telling him his job is not at risk after reports claimed he would be ousted.

A five-match losing streak prompted the club to call a ritiro and a press silence on Tuesday hoping it would clear the air and revive the team. More importantly, Gasparin has reiterated the faith in Marino, insisting there are no plans to sack the Sicilian tactician as he drives the club forward.

"Marino is not at risk. He is our coach and I will repeat that," he told Radio Kiss Kiss.

"It's not a good moment for us, but we can get out of difficulty, starting from the game against Cagliari. That's the game we are thinking about.

"We do not want to speak about the transfer market. Our objective is to continue with our project."
