Sampdoria are bracing themselves for a transfer assault on Giampaolo Pazzini as Chelsea renew their interest in the forward.

According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Carlo Ancelotti's side have opened up dialogue with the player's agent Tulio Tinti over the striker's availability in the January transfer window. The report claims the player's agent is now scheduled to fly out to London and meet with the Blues to spark negotiations into life.

Chelsea are reportedly keen to land a striker as Didier Drogba's replacement. The Ivorian will be playing at the African Nations Cup in January, leaving Ancelotti short up front.

Meanwhile, the Blucerchiati are said to be interested in Inter winger Amantino Mancini. The Brazilian has been peripheral this season at the San Siro, and speculation in local Italian media has linked him with a switch.
