Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira has already been linked with a return to England, with Chelsea and Tottenham interested in his services, but French side Lyon could also be monitoring the Frenchman.

According to Bernand Lacombe, advisor to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, the 33-year-old could make his return home as early as next month.

"The player could be at our disposal," Lacombe was reported as saying to Novantesimo.it. "He is willing to join our team.

"But first, we must speak with [general manager] Claude Puel, to clear some technical details," he added.

Stay tuned to Goal.com for all the latest on the transfer market, when it opens in January.
