Fiorentina Coach Cesare Prandelli: There Is Too Much Tension In Serie A
The coach has told Jose Mourinho and other Italian coaches to calm down...
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has called for calm following a number of tense moments in Serie A over the weekend.
Prandelli was referring in particular to an altercation between Inter coach Jose Mourinho and a journalist in Bergamo following the Beneamata's game against Atalanta.
"It's difficult to respond. We take things too seriously and if we do that then things get out of hand," the coach told Radio Anchio Lo Sport.
"In terms of the tension, this Italian leage brings it about. There is too much tension because people cannot control their emotions."
Fiorentina's hopes of earning a Champions League place took a dent after their 2-1 loss to Chievo Verona on Sunday. But, the coach believes 10 teams are in the race for the top European places.
"This is one of the best leagues. 10 teams are fighting for the Champions League. From an emotional point of view Serie A is interesting with three teams battling for the title," he concluded.
