Atalanta sporting director Carlo Osti is ecstatic that the Nerazzurri were able to claim a point against Inter, as they were taking on the league leaders.

A Simone Tiribocchi goal late in the second half was able to cancel out a  Diego Milito goal early in the first half, which meant that both teams walked away with a point each.

"For us, it is an important result," Osti explained to TMW after the match. "We put a lot of determination and heart into it against the strongest team in the league this season.

"The result will help us improve on a mental level, and going forward into the next few crucial matches."

Osti also covered up the society's interests on the transfer market, not revealing who the Orobici may be interested in. Instead, he enforced who would be returning to side from injury.

"New acquisitions? The re-entry of [Edgar] Barreto from injury in January shall be our transfer-market capture," Osti stated.

"Just like Ferreira Pinto, when he will refind his form and optimal match fitness.

"[Tiberio] Guarente is a shadow of himself compared to last season, and he can only get better.

"I am also happy with how [Fabio] Caserta and [Nicola] Madonna played," summed up Osti.

Despite claiming a point, Atalanta slip into the bottom three, after Livorno had a 1-0 win over Catania.
