Milan Can Salvage Elements From Palermo Defeat - Gianluca Zambrotta
Despite losing at home to the Rosaneri, the wing-back says there are positive things that came out of the match...
Milan may have succumbed to their second home loss of the season when they played Palermo on Sunday afternoon, but defender Gianluca Zambrotta believes there are positives that can come out of the match.
The Italian international says that good chances were created by the Diavoli, as well as the players giving it their all for the club.
"There were some good elements that came out of the game, which we can salvage," the 32-year-old told ACMilan.com post-match. "We gave it our all and created some good opportunities, but could not finish.
"Palermo fully deserve this victory, as they demonstrated being an excellent side.
"They knew they could score goals when they counter-attacked us, and were able to do so.
"Now, we must prepare for a very important match against Fiorentina.
"It is a strange championship this season: Inter draw at Bergamo [against Atalanta], Juventus lose to Bari, and nothing is really lost or gained.
"For the future, we must minimise the errors we committed today, if we want to go far," concluded Zambrotta.
Milan still hold onto second place from Inter, who extend their lead over the Rossoneri by a point to five.
