A draw was enough to see the Giallorossi overtake Sampdoria on the ladder, and move into fifth place...
Lupi coach Claudio Ranieri admits that both teams played a competitive and attractive match, but the spoils could only be divided.
"I am very happy with how the team played," the Tinkerman told TMW after the match. "I spoke with Del Neri and was also happy.
"We were expecting a fierce and competitive Sampdoria side.
"We came here to do well, and ended up doing so, especially since we did not concede a goal for the second consecutive match.
"The ladder? It always tells the truth.
"We believed in the players, and they were able to deliver the right results," summed up Ranieri.
