According to TuttoJuve, rumours have surfaced that Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo has sent an SMS message to his former team-mate Adrian Mutu asking about the atmosphere in the Premier League.

The Brazilian has struggled to replicate his international form since his move to the Bianconeri from Fiorentina this summer, and his performances have come under scrutiny from Juve supporters.

However, the player's pressman contacted tuttomercatoweb in order to put an end to suggestions that Melo wanted to leave Turin for England.

"Felipe has never sought out Mutu and never asked to leave Turin in order to go to the Premier League," said Emiliano Foldi.

"The news is completely baseless."

Juventus face Bari on Saturday at the Stadio San Nicola needing a win to keep up their challenge on Serie A leaders Inter.
