Juventus To Sell Amauri & Buy Sampdoria Striker Giampaolo Pazzini - Report
The Old Lady is pondering a move for Pazzini and will use cash from a possible Amauri sale to get him, according to reports in Italy.
Juventus are ready to offload Italo-Brazilian striker Amauri and replace him with Sampdoria's Giampaolo Pazzini, according to Sportmediaset.it.
The report claims Juve's exit from the Champions League has prompted a series of changes given that the club have missed out on substantial prize money for failing to make the last 16. They are set to devise transfer policies in order to draw a sharp dividing line on expenses and claw back some of the money they invested in the past.
It is said Amauri may be put on the market for the January window where Juve will fight to land Pazzini from the Blucerchiati.
The Bianconeri paid €22.4million for Amauri from Palermo in 2008. But he has failed to hit the mark for Juve this term, having scored only four goals in 18 appearances, including none in five in the Champions League. The club would be willing to trade if they receive a realistic offer.
Italian international Pazzini has raised eyebrows within Juventus due to his eight strikes in 14 games this season. Should the Old Lady sell Amauri, they will use the cash injection to tempt the former Fiorentina hitman to Turin.
