Juventus have been dealt another blow after being dumped out of Europe as Mohammed Sissoko faces a month out with injury.
Tuttosport reports Sissoko's absence from the Bayern Munich clash, which was blamed on fatigue, is down to a deeper muscular problem.
The Malian has been plagued with injury ever since suffering a fractured foot in the summer and it is said that he has been complaining of pain to his abductor muscle in his left leg.
He is likely to undergo an examination later today and sources suggest he could be out for up to a month if the scan shows a strain.
If the muscle is torn then he may miss up to three months, leaving hopes of an appearance with Mali at the African Cup of Nations in tatters.
Juve are likely to confim the extent of his injury later today.
