Milan goalkeeper Nelson Dida is hoping for a contract extension following a number of good performances whilst filling in for the injured Marco Storari, according to reports.

The Brazilian has kept three clean sheets in Serie A in the seven games he has played since taking Storari's place between the sticks. Despite a monumental error in Europe against Real Madrid, he has been able to help the Rossoneri maintain a ten match unbeaten run in the league.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport
claims Dida, whose current deal expires in the summer, may be rewarded by the club after Adriano Galliani told of the faith he has in the 6ft 5in goalkeeper.

"The media killed Dida. But he has great moral strength as he is still here. If he didn't have that then he would not be here," Galliani told the sports daily.

Corinthians are said to be interested in the Brazilian, but he is likely to stay on at Milan if given the chance. Dida is likely to start in goal in tonight's final Champions League group stage match against Zurich.
