Juventus' squad may be depleted further for the crucial Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich as coach Ciro Ferrara is having second thoughts on whether to play fatigue-hit Mohammed Sissoko.
According to Tuttosport, Ferrara is likely to rest the powerful Malian midfielder. The tactician is keen not to risk his man, hoping instead to avoid possible injury to the ex-Liverpool man. Mauro Camoranesi or Christian Poulsen could get the nod in place of Sissoko.
Juve are without Giorgio Chiellini, who has a calf problem. Gianluigi Buffon is in doubt with a broken meniscus, but word from Turin is that he will play before having surgery tomorrow morning.
Felipe Melo is also borderline. Losing the Brazilian would be a big blow as he has played in every game since signing from Fiorentina in the summer. Juve must pick up at least a draw to ensure they qualify for the next round of the Champions League.
