Delio Rossi Still Has Work To Do - Palermo's Maurizio Zamparini
The president was happy to see his side win, and for the new coach to get a positive result...
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has praised coach Delio Rossi for his first win as Rosanero boss, but warns there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.
The Sicilians were able to defeat Cagliari 2-1 on the weekend, without some of its better players on the pitch.
"It is a squad that is re-finding itself," the supremo stated to Mediterraneonline.it. "And it is an important victory for all.
"The team is slowly beginning to trust the coach, who will not be good, bur great.
"I hope to keep him for many years to come.
"Missing were [Fabrizio] Miccoli, [Fabio] Liverani and [Mark] Bresciano, who are all starters.
"I liked the spirit of the side, and we saw players like [Javier] Pastore get game-time, unlike it was reported by Tuttosport," concluded Zamparini.
Palermo travel north to Milan to take on the Rossoneri this weekend.
