Roma Hero Marco Cassetti Still Overjoyed By Goal Against Lazio
The 32-year-old scored the winner in the Roman Derby, and the team is now focusing on a top four place...
Roma midfielder Marco Cassetti is still over the of the moon about his match-winning goal against Lazio in the Derby Della Capitale on the weekend.
The 32-year-old knows that the Giallorossi had a bad start to the season, but are still aiming to be amongst Italy's top sides at the end.
"It is a grand satisfaction to have given all these people some joy," the Italian told Sky Sport 24. "I have been receiving text messages from lots of people, some of whom I have not heard from in years.
"We have the conviction to be a good group of players, with the will to do well.
"We want to bounce back from the year we had last season, as it wasn't the best of campaigns.
"The derby gives you so much, and am convinced that we are now ready to fight for the positions at the top of the table - thus, the first four," concluded Cassetti.
The Lupi sit in sixth place, on 24 points, equal on points with Fiorentina, Genoa and Sampdoria.
