Lazio Midfielder Matuzalem Out For A Month - Report
The Biancocelesti midfielder will be on the sidelines with a serious calf injury...
Lazio continue to receive one setback after another as midfielder Matuzalem will be out of action for up to a month with a calf strain.
The Brazilian did not reappear in the second half of the Derby Della Capitale on the weekend against Roma, and scans revealed that he has a grade two tear in his left calf.
There is a possibility that the 29-year-old could return for the match against Livorno on January 6, but he will definitely be unavailable for coach Davide Ballardini to select against Genoa and Inter in the coming weeks.
Roma defeated Lazio 1-0 in the derby, with a goal from Marco Cassetti in the 77th minute.
Lazio currently hover above the relegation zone, on 13 points from 15 matches.
