Inter striker Samuel Eto'o is hoping his side can rebound following their loss in the Derby d'Italia to Juventus by defeating Russian outfit Rubin Kazan and advancing to the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

"Am I expecting many goals with Inter in Europe? My goals aren't important," he was quoted as saying by fcinternews.it.

"On Wednesday we must play a great match with each of us contributing to win and advance to the next stage."

Meanwhile, the player found the back of the net for the first time away from the San Siro for the Nerazzurri on Saturday against Juventus. Inter's lead at the top of Serie A has now been cut down to four points.

"I wanted very much to score an away goal, but hopefully not during a loss," he continued.

"In any case, I do not think we deserved to lose that night, but throughout the history of football there have been many matches like this. There is nothing else to say."
