Alexandre Pato Reveals Secret Behind Milan Renaissance
The ‘Duck’ says there is a unique ‘family feel’ around Milanello…
AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has insisted he is not surprised by the Rossoneri’s revival in Serie A after an indifferent start to the season.
The Diavoli seemed on the brink of relinquishing their title hopes only two months ago following a disappointing draw away to Atalanta, but are now just four points adrift of leaders Inter after claiming their fifth win on the trot on Saturday, a comprehensive 3-0 defeat of Sampdoria.
“Our secret is the great group we have,” Pato told the Milan Channel.
“We are all very close. When I first arrived at Milan, they told me I was entering a family and now I can really say it was all true.
“As for me, it doesn’t even matter where I play. It doesn’t change anything if I do it on the left or on the right. I am happy and enjoying it.”
Milan travel to Switzerland today where they will face Zurich in a crucial Champions League Group C clash tomorrow night, knowing that only a win would guarantee them a spot in the last 16 of the competition.
“We play a key match and I’m sure we go there to win and with the desire to turn in a great display,” concluded Pato.
