Liverpool Midfielder Alberto Aquilani Wishes Roma Well Ahead Of Derby Della Capitale
The Giallorossi youth product has admitted he is eagerly awaiting tonight’s Stracittadina.
Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani will gather a small group of Roma fans on Merseyside this evening to cheer on his former side in the Derby della Capitale clash with city rivals Lazio.
“I have arranged everything and I will watch the game here in England with my sister, my girlfriend and a few friends,” he told Il Romanista.
“I will not be at the Olimpico, because I was I had a game with Liverpool yesterday, but I would not miss this match for the world.”
Aquilani left his hometown club over the summer in a €20 million deal, and the 25-year-old confessed: “I have been asked over the past days if I will miss playing this derby: yes, a little bit.
“But I made a choice and it’s no use looking back. Let’s look ahead to tonight’s encounter. I won’t make any predictions, but I wish Roma good luck.
“We will all root for them from here, as always. But a little bit more this evening, because it is a special night for all the Romanisti.”
