Roma Star Mirko Vucinic Hints At Special Derby Goal Celebration
The Montenegrin ace may be considering another striptease…
Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has insisted he has yet to hit top form this season despite firing the Lupi to the last 32 of the Europa League and promised a special celebration if he scores against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale on Sunday.
The 26-year-old helped Roma to a 2-1 win over Basel at the Olimpico last night, netting the winner from an inspired Daniele De Rossi pass, and vowed there is more to come.
“We wanted to progress and managed it,” he told the Corriere dello Sport.
“I am happy with the goal I scored and I want to thank De Rossi for his splendid assist.
“But I am not the real Vucinic. There is still room for improvement. Things are getting better and better, but I am still lacking that bit to say that I am at 100 per cent.”
Vucinic caused controversy last year when he took off his shorts to celebrate his winning goal against Cagliari, and he said of the upcoming clash with city rivals Lazio: “We will now focus on the derby. It’s important to get a win and dedicate it to the fans. And I don’t know what I might do if I grab a goal…”
