Roberto Mancini: Inter Are Stronger Than Juventus
‘Mancio’ believes Juve need the ‘game of their lives’ to defeat his former side and re-open the title race.
Ex-Inter boss Roberto Mancini is adamant the Nerazzurri are still the team to beat in Serie A this season and Juventus might have their work cut out in Saturday’s Derby d’Italia at the Olimpico.
“Inter are superior overall, but I expect Juve to turn in the game of their lives,” the tactician admitted to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“If they want to re-open the title race, they can’t do anything else but win.”
Juve trail their bitter rivals by eight points after the opening 14 rounds despite a high-profile summer transfer campaign.
“At the start of the season, I thought that Juve had drawn closer to Inter, but I was wrong,” explained Mancini.
“There is still a three-player gap between the two teams. Juve must change three men in order to catch up with Inter.
“But don’t ask me who they are, I am not so insensitive…”
