Juventus President Jean-Claude Blanc Writes Open Letter To Fans
The Bianconeri supremo has asked the fans to display a positive attitude...
Juventus president Jean-Claude Blanc has written an open letter to the fans, asking them to show their class and style ahead of crucial matches against Inter and Bayern Munich over the next week.
There has been plenty of press surrounding the treatment of Inter striker Mario Balotelli last season in Turin, when the Bianconeri faithful reportedly chanted racist insults at the teenager. However, Blanc would like to avoid another similar incident on Saturday.
"These are eight days that will determine the outcome of our season," he wrote, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
"The games against Inter and Bayern are tests of extraordinary importance to prove to everyone and ourselves that our fans are the real strength of this team.
"We want the two games against Inter and Bayern Munich to be a battle on the field and a party off it, with heated and passionate support. But it must never become excessive or, even worse, offensive."
Blanc says Juventus will always aim to win, but believes the fans must be gracious to further the club's image.
"We will face these days with unique commitment and pride to prepare for these great challenges, aware that Juventus must take the field with a single goal - to win," he continued.
"I am sure that all of us together - players, the club, the fans - will prove what our style really is."
