Javier Pastore Wants To Score Goals For Palermo
Pastore is eager to improve as he underlines his action plan to find the back of the net on a regular basis...
Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore has asked fans to be patient as he continues to adapt to Serie A.
The Argentine play-maker has made 11 appearances this term, but has yet to get his name on the scoresheet. He joined the Sicilian outfit in the summer from Huracan on a five-year deal and fans are eager to see him burst into life.
"Everyone has been helping me to adapt on every level. Football is very different here compared to Argentina," he told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"However, I hope to get back to the levels I was at with Huracan. As for the whistles? It's not a problem. It was the same in Argentina during the first few games."
Despite a less than perfect start, Pastore enjoys a resplendent relationship with the city and fans.
"Palermo is lovely and the people have always treated me well here. The fans don't criticise me. They want me to score," he added.
"Goals are always important for a trequartista as they give you confidence and belief in your abilities."
