Chelsea's Yuri Zhirkov is unlikely to join Napoli during the winter transfer window, according to his Italian representative Andrea Banfi.
Reports have linked the left winger with a move to the Azzurri in January. Those suggestions were razed by Napoli. Banfi has now ruled out the move, claiming the player will not move unless he is guaranteed Champions League football.
"We have not received any contact from Napoli. I think a January move is very difficult," the agent told Napolipress.com.
"After Chelsea spent so much money for the player, it's unlikely that they will send him out on loan.
"However, if Napoli qualify for the Champions League then it could be a solution in the future."
