New Bologna transfer Stephen Appiah could be allowed to play as early as this weekend for the Rossoblu against Udinese, as his player registration has been received by the Italian Federation (FIGC).
Appiah was originally signed to Turkish side Fenerbahce, but the two had parted ways after the 2007/08 season.
"This afternoon, the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio - having received the transfer from the Turkish Federation - has authorised a player identity card to Stephen Appiah," a statement on the club's website said.
The Ghanaian international has had previous stints in Italy's top flight, playing for most notable Juventus.
