Roma Icon Francesco Totti Launches Official Website
The former Italy international is on hand to launch francescototti.com...
Roma captain Francesco Totti's official website is going online this evening, according to forzaroma.info.
The Giallorossi talisman held a presentation with team-mates Philippe Mexes and Daniele De Rossi, coach Claudio Ranieri, and mayor of Rome Gianni Alemanno, along with several other noteworthy guests.
Over 8,000 members have already signed up for the high-profile player's website and it will now be active and available to all.
"I believe that this is an important thing for him and for all the fans who want to get in touch with their favourite player," commented Ranieri.
"It is great news for Italian and non-Italian fans, because he is a player of international calibre. We're here to have a good time. The [Rome] derby? It will be another beautiful event."
The site's main purpose is to serve as a way for 'Er Pupone' to interact with and show appreciation for his fans. The player has amassed a huge fanbase, having won the Scudetto with Roma in 2001 and the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
