Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni is no closer to joining Roma as his agent Tulio Tinti denies reports they were talking to the Serie A club.
Toni has been linked with an imminent exit after appearing to fall out with coach Louis van Gaal at the Allianz Arena.
The Italian hinted that he wanted to return to Italy with local media reporting Roma were tracking his situation.
However, his agent has played down the speculation.
"Luca Toni and Roma? I have not had any contact from Roma directors. Therefore there has not been any basis regarding a deal," Tinti told LaRoma24.it.
