Italy Coach Marcello Lippi: The Scudetto Race Is Still Wide Open
The coach believes AC Milan and Juventus still have a chance to win the title...
The Beneamata boast a seven and eight point lead over Milan and Juventus respectively. The gap could increase to 11 points if the Bianconeri fail to pick up a good result against the champions at the weekend.
Nevertheless, Lippi is unconcerned.
"I think the Serie A race is still wide open," Lippi told the press at a football gala organised by the Italian Players Association (AIC).
"Speaking about the title being over just 14 weeks into the season is a little exaggerated seeing that there are still 24 matches to go where anything can happen.
"You can certainly see some values, but speaking about the title being won is a bit far fetched."
