Lazio Coach Davide Ballardini In Last Chance Saloon, Sinisa Mihajlovic On Standby - Report
The Italian could be in the last chance saloon as Lotito plans a sea of change...
Lazio coach Davide Ballardini is on the precipice of being ousted, with former defender Sinisa Mihajlovic on standby and ready to take over.
Time is running out for the former Palermo coach after a winless streak that dates back 12 matches to August. According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Ballardini has two games left to save his job - Salzburg in the Europa League on Wednesday, and the Roma derby on Sunday night at the Olimpico.
The 0-0 draw with Bologna has seen angry fans turn against the coach and president Claudio Lotito left the stadium in a huff on Sunday.
The Italian avoided the changing rooms such was his annoyance with the result. Voices claim the chief is reluctant to sack Ballardini, but losses in their next two games could see all that change dramatically.
Mihajlovic is said to be ready to take the reigns should Lotito sweep into action.
