Juventus To Sell Tiago & Use Income For A Defender - Report
The Old Lady are about to open the door to the Portuguese middle man in order to raise cash for new players...
According to Tuttosport, the Old Lady are looking to cash in on him and save on his €3.2 million-per-season wages. The Old Lady paid Olympique Lyonnais €13.2m for him back in 2007, but he has failed to make an impact at Vinovo. He has been linked with exits before, but he could finally make one this winter.
It is said Juventus directors have gone to Portugal to promote Tiago to a local side there. In addition, it is said French outfit Girondins de Bordeaux are in the background as they peer into the player's situation. Market voices claim Laurent Blanc's side are about to sell Fernando to Genoa, leaving room for Tiago to come in.
Funds raised from Tiago's sale would be used to land a defender. It's no secret Ciro Ferrara is keen to bolster his defence. Valencia's Miguel is top of his hit-list. Napoli's Juan Camilo Zuniga and Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna have also been linked with the club.
